Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, as well as the
Czech and Slovak geographical communities, I have the pleasure of
inviting you to participate in the 4th Joint Congress of the Czech and
Slovak Geographical Societies, to be held in Košice, Slovakia, in
September 2026.
The main objectives of the congress are:
• to present and discuss recent advances in geographical research
• to foster international cooperation among geographical societies and
institutions
• to promote interdisciplinary dialogue on contemporary environmental
and spatial challenges
• to support knowledge exchange between academia, policy, and practice

Key Themes and Formats:
The congress welcomes contributions from all fields of geography.
Indicative conference themes are listed on the congress’ website.
Participants may present their work through oral presentations, posters,
thematic panels, or institutional presentations. Registration is open,
early bird rates are available until the end of April.
