Events:
Commission on Coastal Systems: A pre-congress coastal field trip will be offered by the Commission on Coastal Systems on Saturday, August 24th. This trip will introduce participants to an example of a bar-built estuary on Ireland’s east coast, at Portrane, and to some of the low-lying coastal environments of Dublin Bay, at North Bull Island. This one-day excursion will run from approximately 9:00-17:00 and will have you back in time to attend the Congress Opening Ceremony. To express interest in participating, please contact Iris Möller at moelleri@tcd.ie before April 22nd. We will be in touch after this date with further details regarding registration and costs.
International Network on Learning and Teaching Geography (INLT): The INLT is seeking to build its database and invites anyone interested in Geography Education to sign up to the database for updates and news. There will be a range of geography education sessions at the congress and the Journal of Geography in Higher Education will be hosting its Annual Lecture as well as a series of workshops. We encourage anyone interested in geography education, to join the network listserv. Further details are here.
