EUGEO 2027 – Terza circolare per la Call for Sessions
Il Comitato organizzatore del Congresso EUGEO 2027 diffonde la terza circolare, con proroga, per la Call for sessions.
Di seguito il testo pervenuto.
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to share the Third Circular of the 11th EUGEO Congress on the Geography of Europe, which will take place in Florence, Italy, from 1 to 4 September 2027, under the theme “Societies in Transition”.
This circular brings two important announcements:
1. Call for Sessions – Deadline Extended to 20 November 2026
The deadline for submitting session proposals has been extended to 20 November 2026, providing additional time for colleagues to contribute to the scientific programme.
We welcome proposals addressing contemporary geographical challenges, emerging research questions, and debates across the full spectrum of geographical research.
Submit your session proposal: https://eugeo2027.mcrconference.it/
2. Keynote Programme – Now Complete!
We are delighted to announce that our keynote programme is now complete, following the confirmation of Prof. Juan Pedro Montávez Gómez (University of Murcia).
The three keynote events will bring together distinguished scholars representing different geographical traditions:
Human Geography: Antonis Vradis (University of St Andrews)
Economic Geography: Simona Iammarino (GSSI) and Karen Lai (Durham University); panel chaired by Silvia Grandi (University of Bologna/CNR)
Physical Geography & Earth System Science: Juan Pedro Montávez Gómez (University of Murcia)
Together, these events reflect the disciplinary breadth of EUGEO and our ambition to foster dialogue across geographical perspectives.
Further information is available on the conference website: https://www.eugeo2027.unifi.it/
We would be grateful if you could circulate the attached Third Circular among your colleagues, association members, mailing lists, and academic networks. Your support in reaching the wider geographical community is greatly appreciated.
We look forward to welcoming you to Florence in September 2027!
The EUGEO 2027 Organising Committee
